May Employee Spotlight: Margarita Romo
Get to know Margarita this month! A loyal line-cook at Pure Duluth, she loves her job about as much as her employees love her!
How did you hear about Pure?
One of my friends worked there and told me about an available opportunity.
How long have you been working at PURE?
About 1.5 years!
What is the moment you are proudest of since you have been at Pure?
It makes me proud when we have large catering orders and we have to make a lot of food to prepare for these parties.
What about your proudest moment in life?
My proudest moment in life is when I got a home for my family. I love going home to see my family every day after work. I have a 19 year old daughter and a 12 year old son.
What is your favorite item on the menu?
Shrimp Enchiladas- (the most expensive kind) haha!
And your favorite drink on the menu?
Just a simple Coke
Do you have any secret talents and/or hobbies?
Hmm... I love to Sing, especially with my kids.
What's your favorite song to sing?
"Buenos Dias a La Vida" by Juan Gabriel
What's something most people don't know about you?
I have 7 siblings and they are all men. I am the only girl of 8 kids. I was the second born and we are all very close still. I have 21 nephews and nieces!
What is a goal you are currently working towards?
I am always striving to be better in my job and in everything I do. I hadn't worked much until I started working at Pure so I really enjoy it.
If you could do anything and weren't working at PURE, what would you do for a living?
I would own my own cleaning company called "La Loca"
When are you at your happiest?
It is pretty balanced. I am very happy when I am at home and I am also happy when I'm at work!
If money wasn't a factor (you had unlimited access), how would you spend your perfect day?
I wouldn't spend the money at all! I would save all the money and invest it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Rome to try different things.
Is there a saying or quote you really love or live by?
Well... not really? I feel like I'm always telling my kids "Relax, Relax!" haha
